Dear Families,
As we begin another exciting school year at Eastern Shore Consolidated School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our students and families. We are looking forward to a great year of learning!
On the first day of school, Junior High students (Grades 7-9) should report directly to the gymnasium upon arrival. Students will be welcomed and then called by their homeroom classes.
Senior High students (Grades 10-12) have received their schedules by email and should report directly to their Period 1 classroom at the start of the day.
Important Reminders
- The school lunch program begins on September 8, so students will need to bring their own lunch and snacks until that time.
- Please remember to bring a reusable water bottle each day.
- Students should also bring their school supplies. If obtaining supplies is a challenge, please know that we have supplies available at the school and are happy to help ensure all students are ready to learn.
Cell Phone Expectations
To support student learning and minimize distractions, Nova Scotia's provincial cell phone policy requires that cell phones be powered off and stored out of sight during instructional time. We encourage families to review these expectations with their children before the start of school.
If a student uses a cell phone in a way that does not follow these expectations, school staff will work with the student to address the issue. Repeated or inappropriate use will result in progressive consequences in accordance with the Provincial School Code of Conduct. Our goal is to help students develop responsible technology habits while maintaining a focused and respectful learning environment for everyone.
