The High School Learning Centre is working with the organization Better Together to run a Hat and Sun Screen Drive for individuals facing housing insecurity. With the sunny weather starting, individuals who face housing insecurity often find themselves trying to escape the heat of the sun. Lightly used and new hats, along with bottles of sunscreen, can be dropped off in either the High School Learning Centre, the main office, or in Ms. Rivalin's room Thank you for your support!

Due to safety requirements for a weight room, students are not to get non-trained staff to watch them in the weight room and they must meet the age requirement of being 15. Open to all grade levels. Are you interested in volunteering for your community? Our local Lions Club is looking for interested youth to do just that with a Leo’s Club. Their first initiative is to add a four square painted stencil to our blacktop. If you want to make a difference in your community and add some experience to your resume, please sign up in the office. A meeting will be in the near future over each lunch to plan out this project and brainstorm more opportunities in our community to make a difference!!

Congratulations to Delaney MacKenzie, Devin Parker and Rylan Bent who advanced to Track & Field provincials next week!
It was a banner day for Coyotes Slo pitch!!....3 banners coming back to 210 Motts Drive
It started with the girls winning the Division 1 Metro Banner with a dominating 9-0 win over Dartmouth High in the finals. This banner represents the top school of any size in metro.
An hour later the girls blanked Islandview 15-0 to win the D2 Regional banner and punch their ticket to Provincials June 6-7 in the Valley.
Not being done yet, the boys' team won their own banner capturing the D2 Regional banner with a thrilling victory over Islandview and qualifying for provincials.
The school would like to congratulate all players and coaches for their achievements and wish each team good luck in bringing a couple more banners home!

Our Girls senior high slo pitch team finished the round robin tournament with a 4-0 record beating Cole Harbour 8-6. The Girls finished 1st overall and will now play Tuesday in the playoffs.
Great games played also by our senior boys slo pitch team. They beat Islandview and Cole harbour by ten runs each and lost against Millwood by one run. Boys move on to the Metro Playoffs on Tuesday.

As most students know, nationally the Liberal Party was elected as the governing party with the Conservatives forming the official opposition. In the national student vote however Canadian students voted for a Conservative government with the Liberals as the official opposition.

Our Coyotes made history, for the first time in our short history, three separate teams won on the same day! It started with Rugby scoring an impressive 35-14 win over Sommet/Mosaique. A few hours later our boys dominated Halifax West in Lacrosse with a 9-0 shut out win. To top off the night, our girls lax team grinded out a 4-3 win over Lockview. WTG Coyotes!!!
