-The green team will be coming around this first period for bottle and can collection. Teachers are asked to put their recycling bins out into the hallway for the green team to collect.

-The senior high girls volleyball team ended their season last night with a 3 sets to 1 loss to Cole Harbour. Thanks to all the girls for all their hard work and effort all season. The players of the game yesterday were Arianna Sanderson and Vanessa Jones, who both are graduating this year.

-Senior Girls Basketball practice today from 5:00-6:30. Be dressed and ready at 5 sharp. 

-Senior high boys volleyball practice today after school until 5:00pm.

-Today is the last day to order lunches for the period of Nov 2-Nov 15.  Orders must be placed by 12 noon. If you have any issues ordering please see the main office.

-Reminder that the lunch tokens are to be used the same day you receive them.  Each token represents a lunch made for that day only. You cannot use more than 1 token per day.  If you require 2 servings- please place your order online.

-Potential Grads: Please note that the location for grad photos has changed.  It will now be taking place in the library.

-Reminder that the weather is getting colder- please dress for conditions.  Jr. High students are expected to be outside during lunch.

-A huge well done to our grade 9's, Zack, Austin, Rylan and Giddion who represented Eastern Shore Consolidated in the Nova Scotia International Skills Challenge Yesterday at the Discovery Centre.   They did a wonderful job racing in several heats against competitor schools with renewable energy cars, designed and created by themselves.

Athletic Announcements: 

-The senior high girls volleyball team played their best game of the year to end the regular season. They beat Sommet 3 sets to 2, with a dominating 15-4 final set. The player of the game for the Coyotes was Lexie Marsh.

-Reminder of Senior High girls basketball tryouts today from 5-6:30

-Our Yotes Girls Junior High soccer season has sadly come to an end with a loss in the semi final game against the first place team in regular season Astral Drive. The coaches want to share with everyone that the girls were an amazing team, worked hard, showed up, and most of all had a lot of fun. Special shout out to the goal tenders from yesterday's game, and the team as a whole. They made us all very proud to make it to the semifinals with so much hard work, and dedication.

- Next week we will meet to celebrate our season afterschool, so please keep listening to the announcements for the time and date.

-The Jr High boys team plays Ellenvale today at 3:45 today at Maybank Field. The team is asked to meet in Mr Somers room briefly at the beginning of Lunch

-The senior girls’ soccer team finished their season on Friday with a loss in the Regional semi final to a strong Halifax Grammar team. Lily Keizer made some great saves in net and the girls played a good game. A reminder to the girls to return their washed jerseys to Mrs. Caya as soon as possible.

-There will be a Boy’s Sr. High Basketball tryout today at @ 5:30pm in the gym 

-Reminder for Cross Country running practice tomorrow Tuesday Oct 21 after school. For Cross Country practice meet in the Gym after school on Tuesday, prepared to run outside.

Athletic Announcements:

-Girls Sr. High Basketball tryouts will start on Tuesday October 21st. Time will be 3:30pm -5pm in the gym.  The second tryout will be Thursday October 23rd. Time will be 5pm-6:30pm 

-Boy’s Sr. High Basketball tryout Monday Oct. 20th.  Time will be 5pm-6:30pm 

-The Junior High boys soccer team beat Caledonia in a must win game 5-2. Tyler, Grey and Hayden scored 1 goal and Lucas scored 2. Camden stepped up on defence with some big stops to secure the win. The junior high boys are to meet in Mr Somers room at lunch briefly to talk about playoffs. Keep up the great work!

-Today marks the return of Girls Hockey after 5 years….The girls have their home opener today at 5pm vs JL.  Come out to cheer on our girls…admission is free!!

Athletic Announcements: 

-The senior high girls’ soccer team won their first Regional playoff game yesterday, beating Mosaique 2-0. Lily Keizer made some clutch saves for us to keep us in the game early and Ashley Reynolds decided that yesterday would not be her final game as a Coyote and scored both goals. The girls played a smart passing game and the energy was amazing! We play in the semifinal tomorrow at 3:30 at Micmac field vs Grammar.

-The Junior High boys have their final game of the season tonight at 5 at the O’Connell Field where they will be taking on Caledonia Junior High. We are 2-2 on the season looking for a big win tonight.

-Congratulations to the boy’s hockey team on their 4-1 victory over Island View last night in the season opener.  All players played great! Shout out to Gage Garber as Player of the Game.

Athletic Announcements:

-The Senior Boys’ soccer season has come to an end after losing to Island View 3-0 yesterday.  The Boys finished the season with a record of: 1 win, 2 draws and 3 losses.  This is very impressive for a team that has refused to train or practice all season.  :) 

Best of luck next year! 

-The Senior High girls volleyball team battled hard yesterday, losing 3 sets to 2 to Islandview. Player of the game for the Coyotes was Mollie Leedham.

-Junior High Girls soccer team will have a practice on ESCS Field afterschool Thursday October 16th, 2025 from 3;30-5;30 to prepare for our semifinal game.

-Badminton club Thursday morning at 730am for those that signed up!

-Today is the day!!! The Boys home opener hockey game is tonight at 7 pm at the ESRC.   Our school may be small but our openers have been the envy of the entire league.  See your favorite Coyote player for a free ticket to this must attend event!!  Prizes for best dressed and proudest fan!!

Athletic Announcements:

Junior High Boys Volleyball tryouts continue this week, today after school until 5:00pm, and Wednesday after school until 5:00pm. Please see Mr. Watt with any questions.

Senior High Boys Volleyball first home game this evening; players need to arrive by 5:30pm at the latest for a 6:00pm game start time. Senior High Boys Volleyball will also have practice after school on Wednesday until 5:00pm and Friday after school until 5:00pm.

There will be a quick meeting for both the jr girls soccer and girls volleyball team today at the beginning of lunch in the gym

ESC Coyotes Cross Country - Join the Cross Country run team! Please see Ms White for more information. Next practice is Tuesday Sept 23 after school, meet in the Gym prepared to run outside.

Do you love to read and love competition?  Ms. MacDonald is assembling a team for the 2026 Middle School Readers Rumble hosted by Armbrae Academy, and held in April 2026. Open to anyone in Gr. 7-9.  Please see Ms. MacDonald this week if you are interested in being on the team.

Athletic Announcements:

Senior Boys Soccer team will have a practice on Monday after school from 3:30 until 5pm.  This is an important practice so you must attend.  The game vs Cole Harbour on Tuesday has been moved to Mic Mac Field 1 because O’Connell has been booked for that day.  

Senior high boys volleyball practice in the gym today from 3:30pm until 5pm. Junior high boys volleyball players are welcome to watch, but do not have tryouts today.

Senior high boys volleyball have their first home game Monday at 6pm vs Island View.  There will also be practice Wednesday and Friday after school until 5pm next week.

The senior girls’ soccer team played a great first game yesterday vs Citadel. The final score was 1-0 for Citadel but the girls played well and dominated most of the game. Our next game is tomorrow vs Sommet at O’Connell field. Come out and cheer us on!
