The senior girls’ soccer team continued their unbeaten streak, winning 4-0 over Sommet. Nadia Jakeman got her second hat trick of the season and Ella Matthews added a single. Ada Klattenhoff anchored the defence, and played a great game in a new position. Lily Keizer had a strong game in nets.

The senior girls’ soccer team continues to be unbeaten, tying Citadel yesterday 2-2. Both goals were scored by Ella Matthews. The girls played a strong offensive game and Lily Keizer, once again, came up big in nets when she was needed. Our next game is Tuesday at 5:00.

Jr and Sr girls basketball club monday mornings at 7:30am
The senior girls’ soccer team continues to be unbeaten, with a hard fought tie against Armbrae Academy yesterday. The girls played a tough and physical game, and showed a lot of heart. The rookies took care of scoring, with two from Ella Matthews and one from Ellie Semple. Lily Keizer had another strong game in nets and Rebecca MacLennan anchored the defence with a steady presence. We play Monday at home vs Grammar. Come on out and cheer on your Coyotes!
ES boys baseball team won against Halifax, grammar 15 - 0 last night. Logan Poirier hit a beauty out to right field and Bryn, Oliver and Lucas pitched an excellent game. boys play again on Thursday night 6 PM at Conrad Field.
The Jr Boys Soccer team played a great first game of the season as they tied Carrefour 2-2. Easton Redmond and Brody Crowell were the two goal scorers for the Yotes. The boys play again Thursday at 5pm st SRB.

The SH boys baseball team 3-2 against Mosiaque with Nevin Fitzgerald pitching a complete game.
The senior high girls’ soccer team had another win yesterday with a score of 4-1 over Sacred Heart. Nadia Jakeman had a monster game, scoring a hat trick, and Olivia Matheson rounded out the scoring. Some key saves were made by Lily Keizer. The girls play their next game vs Armbrae on Tuesday.

-The Senior high boys baseball team played a great game last night against Island view. We lost by one in the seventh inning, Bryn Leaman pitched a great game with Nevin Fitzgerald, closing it out. The boys play again at 6 PM this Thursday night at BJ Higgins.
-Badminton club for Jr and Sr high students Thursday mornings from 730-845am. Please see Ms Whyte for a form if you’d like to attend.
-The Senior girls’ soccer Coyotes won a hard fought 1-0 victory yesterday over Island View. The girls played well in their first game. The lone goal was scored by Emily Sinclair White on a beautiful feed by Nadia Jakeman. Lily Keizer earned the shutout. Our next game is Thursday vs Sacred Heart.
-First girls hockey tryouts are this Friday at 4 pm and you must sign up and pay in the office. The cost is $20 for 2 tryouts.

It is Cross Country Season and ESCS would like to send some Senior High Runners to the Cross Country Meets this month and to Provincials in October. There will be a HS Boys’ Soccer practice today right after school. It will be short, but it is very important.
The Sr. High Girls Baseball team list will be posted outside the HS washrooms. The girls on the list have a practice Wednesday at 4pm in East Chezz.
Boys Hockey Fitness testing is today after school.
Girls Hockey tryouts will be Friday Sept 18th at 4 and Thurs Sept 24th at 5 pm.
Extra curricular:
The 2026-27 Chess Club for junior high will start in Mr. Odo’s room today. It will be every Tuesday at lunch in room 158. All are welcome.

Reminder that the only people permitted to park in the parking lot are staff and Grade 12 students who have a parking pass. If you do not have a parking pass please come to the main office for an application. Grade 10 and 11 students driving to our school must park on the side of road and not in the lot.
Students please make sure that your binders and backpacks have your name on them. We can’t return lost items to you if we don’t know who owns it.

Today is pink shirt day. We wear a pink shirt to raise awareness about bullying that happens all around us and how we can promote kindness and inclusion to prevent this.
There will be a group photo of everyone wearing pink in the cafeteria at the beginning of lunch.

There will be cross country running practice on Tuesday after school for any Jr and Sr high students wishing to participate. Please have a drive home at 4:30pm

Do you love reading and competition? The junior high Readers Rumble team is looking for new members. If you are interested in joining the team, come to Ms. MacDonald’s room (Rm 165) at lunch today.
Any senior high students who would like a locker please see Christina in the cafeteria at lunch
Reminder that the only people permitted to park in the parking lot are staff and Grade 12 students who have a parking pass. If you do not have a parking pass please come to the main office for an application. Grade 10 and 11 students driving to our school must park on the side of road and not in the lot.
Students please make sure that your binders and backpacks have your name on them. We can’t return lost items to you if we don’t know who owns it.

Today there will be bingo in the cafeteria at lunch! Grab a card from a student council member on the stage to play.
Tomorrow is pink shirt day. Wear a pink shirt to help raise awareness against bullying.

Attention Boys Hockey players…Tryouts for hockey start on Monday Sept 14th. The fee is $75 which is payable to the main office before that time. See the tryout schedule posted around the school.

Wednesday is dress as something that starts with the first letter of your name, with Bingo at lunch.
Thursday is Pink Shirt Day with a group photo at lunch.
Friday is School Colors day, dress in blue, red and gray. There will be a barbeque at lunch.

There will be HS boys’ soccer tryouts on Thursday, September 10th, and Tuesday, September 15th. Attendance is urgent since games will be starting soon. If you can’t make it for some reason please see Mr. Odo in Room 158 of the Junior High wing.
Jr and Sr cross country running practice today after school until 4:30pm. Please have a drive ready at that time.
