General Announcements:  

-The green team will be coming around during first period in the senior high wing and third period in the junior high wing and collecting recyclables. Teachers are asked to put their blue bins outside of their door in the hallway if they have any cans or bottles in their bins. 

-Any Junior High students interested in joining a Chess Club, please come to Mr. Odo’s room at lunch.  We will start next week if there is enough interest.  Beginners are welcome.

Cafeteria information:

-Ordering is open for lunches.  It will close this Wednesday at noon.  If you need help ordering or setting up your diner account, please see Mrs. Karsten or Mrs. Miller in the main office.

-Ski trip forms will be available at each lunch today. There are only 130 spots available school wide.

Band & Music Announcements: 
-Jazz Band will begin rehearsing NEXT Thursday. There will be no rehearsal this week.

-Musical Theatre will rehearse this week until 4:30pm 

-Grade 11/12 Band will not rehearse today at lunch

-Our Coyote boys hockey team beat Sommet last night 4-1. Two goals each scored by Luke and Connor O’Connell

-There will be a Karaoke Jam in Mr. Odo’s room on Dec. 19th at lunch time for Jr. High students and teachers (11:15 - 12:15). Mr. Odo is the host! If you attend you must sing! Winter or Christmas style songs are expected.  Duets and trios are welcome!  Mark your calendar! 

-Be on the look out for a black zip up binder without a name. Please return to the office if found.

-Ms. MacDonald’s room will be closed at lunch today and tomorrow due to scheduled holiday activities.

-This week is Christmas week!  Today is ugly sweater day with photos with shanks at lunch and tomorrow is PJ day!

-Reminder to Jr. High students that each meal token represents a meal made for that day only!  You cannot use more than one meal token per day.  If you require an additional meal- they can be ordered online when the ordering window is open.

-This week is Christmas week! Today is Flannel Day with gingerbread house decorating at lunch! Tomorrow is Red Santa V.S Green grinch day with Christmas kahoot at lunch. Thursday is ugly sweater day with photos with Santa at lunch and Friday is PJ day!

-Christmas week is next week! Monday is crocs, socks and birkenstocks, Tuesday is flannel day with gingerbread house decorating at lunch, Wednesday is Red Santa v.s Green Grinch with a kahoot at lunch, Thursday is ugly sweaters and photos with shanta at lunch and Friday is PJ day!

Student Council Announcements:

-FOOD DRIVE!  Let’s bring in a crazy amount of food to show our support for our local food banks.  Senior High, bring in those items to your C Block Class.  Junior High, bring in your items to your designated teacher.  Remember the class that brings in the most pounds of food will win a prize!

Here are some class total updates:

-On the Junior high side as of Wednesday, 704 is in the lead with 67.5 pounds of food donated. On the Senior High side, Ms Young’s class is soaring with 292.2 pounds of food!  So, the other classes better “bring it” by tomorrow if they want to keep up!

-Christmas auctions are this week! The Jr high penny auction takes place today and tomorrow during lunch. You can still buy ballots today AND tomorrow in the cafeteria as the draws aren’t taking place until halfway through lunch tomorrow.  Be sure to check out the pictures of all the great prizes you can win! New items have been added.

-Senior High Students, the Annual Christmas Auction starts TODAY AT LUNCH!  PLease come to the cafeteria at lunch to take in this event, and get some shopping done!  Proceeds are going to a really important cause, so come out to show your support.  You do not need to have cash on you today to bid on items.  However you must honour your bids and pay for your items before next Wednesday.

-Junior High  Students, your auction is this week as well!  Buy your Ballots at lunch today through Friday.  Want to know what you can win?  Check out the posters of all prizes posted up in the cafeteria on the stage! Draws will take place on Friday!

-Food Drive!!  This is a tough competition! Please remember to keep bringing in food!  Let’s see which class can come out the winner!

Band & Music Announcements: 

-It’s Concert Day for the band program! The junior concert starts at 6pm and the senior concert starts at 7:30pm, all are welcome to attend and come hear the sounds of the season. 

-A reminder that the grade 11 and 12 band students will rehearse during second period today. 

-A reminder that all grade 8 and 9 band students will rehearse on the stage last period today. 

-Grade 9 band students are asked to come at lunch today to finish up their helmets.

-Christmas pickle is today! There is a crochet pickle hidden in the main area of the school, and if you find it at lunch and take a picture of it then you can enter your name into a draw for a prize!

-Christmas auctions are this week! The Jr high is having a penny auction on thursday the 11th and friday the 12th, and tickets for it can be bought currently  this week at Jr high lunch. Sr High auction will be at  Sr High lunch on Tuesday the 9th and Wednesday the 10th.

Band/Music Announcements:
-Tomorrow night will be our Winter Concerts. This concert will feature performances from band students in grades 7 through 12. The Junior Concert will begin at 6pm and the Senior Concert will begin at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

-This Friday our SH boys basketball team is playing from 2pm - 3:15pm in the gym.  We will be selling tickets for $3 if you want to come out and support your Coyotes!  Tickets will be on sale for grade 12s only on Tuesday at lunch in the lobby and then the remaining tickets will be sold for Grades 10 and 11 on Wednesday in the lobby.
